Synopsis

[View Full Script]
Convinced of the "Nature" side on the nature-vs.-nurture debate, two scientists have gathered DNA from all the great heroes of history, and have cloned the "perfectly principled person." Tonight they are displaying him to the world as part of their plan to launch his political career. No moral or religious upbringing was provided to the clone - they knew his genes would be enough to point him in the right direction. Plus, they didn't want to stifle him. Unfortunately, "Charles" is a disaster. He is greedy, self-seeking, arrogant, and uncaring - which he demonstrates beyond a shadow of a doubt to all attendees of the press conference. Recognizing disaster even as it strikes, the scientists pull Charles off stage, inviting the audience to attend next week as they demonstrate the result of their work to combine an elephant and an eagle. Attendees should be certain to bring a sturdy umbrella.
